All instructor ratings and authorizations are valid for a period of three years.
For revalidation of a rating FI (A) or IRI (A) the holder will be two of the three following requirements:
HHave completed at least 100 hours of flight instruction in airplanes as FI, CRI, IRI or examiner during the period of validity of the ratings, in which at least 30 within 12 months preceding the expiration date of the rating FI or IRI (A). 10 hours of these 30 must be IR instruction for revalidate to instruct IR.
Following a refresher seminar for FI, approved by the Aviation Safety Agency, within the period of validity of the rating.
Overcome, such as proficiency check, the skill test set out in appendices 1 and 2 to JAR-FCL 1.330 and 1.345 within 12 months preceding the expiration date of the authorization FI or IRI (A).
At least one of every two revalidation of the rating FI (A) or IRI (A), the holder must pass a skill test, the proficiency check set out in appendices 1 and 2 to JAR-FCL 1.330 and 1.345 as a of the two requirements to comply with JAR-FCL 1.355(a).
If the authorization has expired, the applicant must follow a refresher seminar and pass a proficiency check in the 12 months prior to renewal.
