The multi-engine class ratings are valid for one year from the date of issuance, or the date of expiry if revalidated have been during the period of validity.
1st OPTION For the renewal of multi-engine class ratings, airplane, the applicant will complete: A proficiency check in accordance with appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.240 on the plane of the corresponding class within three months immediately preceding the date of expiry of rating, and at least 10 route sectors as pilot in the appropriate class, or a route sector as pilot of the plane of the appropriate class or flight simulator flying with an examiner during the period of validity of the entitlement. This verification shall be at least one hour of flight. To make the verification the license, rating MEP (land) and the medical certificate shall be valid, please provide a photocopy of the same. 2 nd OPTION, rating MEP (land) expired If multi-engine class rating has expired, the applicant shall meet the following requirements for refresher training in a FTO or an authorized operator, and conduct a proficiency check in accordance with appendix 3 to JAR-FCL 1.240. They shall be valid from the date of completion of the renewal requirements. Multi-engine airplane class ratings expired up to two years: one hour of flight refresher training which includes the relevant part of normal operating procedures, abnormal and asymmetric flight techniques. Multiengine airplane class ratings expired more than two years: two hours of refresher training flight which include the relevant parts of standard operating procedures, abnormal and asymmetric flight techniques. To perform the skill test, the medical certificate must be valid. Please provide a photocopy of the license and medical certificate. The price of the proficiency check is available at the pricelist.
